Welcome to my website
As a little child my grandmother had a big part of my upbringing. A number of days a week I spent with my grandmother. We had a jolly good time and her house felt as my home. Her house had an gold antique baroque interior. Trough this interior my passion for baroque flamed up. Baroque means for me; romance, happiness and family.
I love people and preferably I am surrounded by them. Thus I work from my interest to persons. Feelings and thoughts are inspiring to me. Often people bring other feelings to light than they feel. They laugh a lot and pretend to be happy, but deep on the inside they are unhappy.
This principle is visible in my work. The frivolity and the gold what shines is less romantic in a second pass. The romantic Baroque, the desire to the past and the hard live of current day, are instances which I combine in my work.
If you observe my work for a time, another layer appears. This layer proceeds to the psyche of human and a deeper sense to the meaning of live. This is visible in my work “Manteaux de Nuit”. The coat is on first sight beautiful and romantic, then the razor blades appear as a pattern.
